Steve Brine met up with representatives from the Environment Agency and their partner organisations as the National Flood Forum came to town on Thursday 19th June.

The event, held at the Winchester Guildhall, provided specialist advice and information to local residents, and as well as the city itself, the day also covered issues in surrounding communities such as the Worthys, Littleton, Twyford and the Itchen Valley.

Steve said: "I was very pleased to pop along and find out more about the support on offer for local residents, not only in terms of recovery, but also on how we can reduce the impact of any future flooding.

"The events of February and March will, sadly, live very long in the memory, and as I work with local agencies and Government Ministers to address the issues we faced and will continue to face, I am delighted that the EA held this valuable event for local people today."
