Steve dropped into Winnall Community Centre for the opening of Winchester Jobs Club on Friday 8th July.

Organisers Sarah Culverhouse and Candice Cutler joined with other volunteers to give the Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP the lowdown on why they have set up Winchester Jobs Club, and Steve also took the opportunity to chat with those who had turned to the new group for support.

Steve said: "It was great to come here today and I am very grateful that Sarah and Candice invited me down.

"I know they have both worked incredibly hard, and I saw for myself today just how valuable that extra support, such as helping with CVs, interview technique and boosting morale over a cuppa really is."

The team were keen to stress that the service is for people across the whole district, and they have already seen jobseekers from outer villages such as Sutton Scotney.

Steve continued; "This really is Big Society in action, and I am delighted to give Sarah and the team my wholehearted support as Winchester Jobs Club continues to grow."
