Otterbourne Primary School visited the Palace of Westminster on Wednesday 16th October, where they also took the opportunity to meet their local MP.

They took in a tour of the Houses of Parliament before heading over to Westminster Abbey to meet up with Steve Brine for a lively Q&A session.

Speaking after the visit, Steve said: "I visited the school earlier in the Summer and asked them then to consider a visit to the Houses of Parliament so it was great to have them here. They were a bright bunch and came prepared with a large number of questions, including whether I had ever considered abolishing homework.

"One young lady even a detailed question about the funding of higher education places which I thought was impressive for a primary group – and showed excellent planning ahead!"
