The University of Winchester is developing new degree programmes in the healthcare arena as part of its new Health & Wellbeing Faculty and the first of these - Physiotherapy - opened today.

The degree course will be taught at a brand new facility on the High Street (above The Ivy Brasserie) in Winchester and MP Steve Brine with his two children were there to wish everyone well.

Prof Carter, Vice Chancellor at the University said; "We are excited that The University will have such a strong presence in the centre of town and as such is the perfect opportunity to further embed the university within the local community."

MP Steve Brine added; "I am such a big supporter of our University and it's so good to the first installment of it in the city. There is a big demand for the new course shown by the fact it is already full for 2018/19. I look forward to seeing it develop and grow."
