Hobbs Rehab visit

Steve Brine visited Hobbs Rehabilitation in Martyr Worthy on Friday 12th January to discuss the Rehab Matters campaign.

The Winchester MP, who is also a Health Minister, met with Director Nicky Ellis and Helen Hobbs, who were at the launch of the Rehab Matters campaign in Parliament back in October.

The campaign aims to improve access to community rehabilitation for people leaving hospital with long term conditions. It recognises that medical advances are saving more lives than ever, but too many people who leave hospital miss out on community rehabilitation services which would otherwise enable them to complete their recovery.

Steve Brine said: "A fascinating visit where I learnt a huge amount. I met some really inspiring people who've been through so much but, through their work at Hobbs, are turning their lives around after illness or injury.

"Hobbs is a local success story we're all so proud to have in Winchester and, above all, it proves rehab works and rehab matters."
