Cllr Ernie Jeffs, who represents Alresford on Winchester City Council, has been the Mayor for the past year, and with his wife Barbara, as Lady Mayoress, joining him at hundreds of events as they pulled out all the stops to raise money for local good causes.
Steve said: "Susie and I wanted to be here this evening to support Ernie Jeffs and salute a year done well as our Mayor.
"The MP and the Mayor see a lot of each other during the course of the year and I know how hard he's worked to support the community and raise money for his charities.
"I hope he and Barbara get a good rest this Summer before their work continues in Alresford where they are both local councillors."
