Queen Elizabeth Country Park will be rocking this summer to the sound of some of the top bands from the South, with a few world famous musicians thrown in for good measure.

Rock the Park 2011 will take place on the 23rd and 24th July and offers everything you would expect from a Top Class Music Festival. Rock the Park is going to be the South's showpiece Rock Festival. The whole Festival is being staged for Help for Heroes, so not only do music lovers get to hear fantastic music but it is all to support a fantastic cause.

Organiser Gary Manchester said: "We are using local suppliers, we are hiring local staff and we are contributing commercially to Queen Elizabeth Country Park. For this reason the Park Management are looking to develop the Festival in future years to come to help them generate further income for the Park. All the Bands performing are from the South of England mainly from Hampshire."

Steve Brine added: "Although the event is outside of my 'patch', it really isn't that far to travel, and I applaud Gary for all his work organising this event for such a great cause."
