Steve Brine visited Chandler’s Ford on Sunday 24th March as he attended a special scouting service.
The 1st Chandler’s Ford Scout Group held a Service of Dedication and Blessing of Colours at St Martin-in-the-Wood Church, on Randall Rd, on what was a huge day for the Group as they reached 110 years old.
Steve had been asked along to hand out the new formal parade colours, alongside the Mayor of Eastleigh, and following the special service, the celebration continued at the 1st Chandler’s Ford Scout Hut for a parade.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: “It was a huge privilege to attend the service of dedication this afternoon, and to hand out the new formal parade colours with the Mayor.
“I am very grateful to the Group for asking the kids and I to come along and be part of their day.”
