Steve Brine visited Alresford on Friday 20th September as he joined in celebrations for the 150th anniversary of The Avenue.

Organised by the Town Trustees, the event marked the 150th anniversary of the beautiful open land and trees that frame the grand entrance to the Town, which was gifted to the residents of Alresford by the Bishop of Winchester in 1869.

Bishop Tim was also on hand to plant a tree to mark the occasion, and there was a showcase for the many volunteer groups that make New Alresford the town it is today.

Steve Brine said: “After a busy constituency day it was the perfect afternoon in the autumn sunshine with Bishop Tim and the New Alresford Town Trust. Great to also see so many guests and familiar faces!”
