The Carroll Centre hosted a joint drop-in with the Stanmore Community Association on Saturday 18th January as the two organisations continue discussions about a merger. The session, organised by local resident Alistair Marsden among others, gave people the chance to discuss current community facilities across Stanmore and ideas for their future development.

Winchester MP Steve Brine dropped in as did St Luke City Councillor, Derek Green, as well as local Stanmore campaigner, Amanda Chard.

Steve Brine said: "The Carroll Centre is a hub, even more so now it has the library, and that's important as a community facility. This drop-in was a useful chance for those running the Carroll and those from the Stanmore Community Association to discuss possible ideas for the future with local residents and I was glad I could stop by to join in."
