Together for Short Lives is the leading charity for UK children's palliative care. We support those who help, love and care for children and young people who are unlikely to reach adulthood. We work with children's hospices and a range of other services across the country to ensure that every child, young person and their family has the best possible care and support whenever and wherever they need it. From the moment of diagnosis, for whatever life holds, we help to ensure families make the most of their precious time together.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP heard Together for Short Lives' eight priorities for the next Parliament and the steps needed to transform children's palliative care to significantly improve the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I am a huge supporter of my local children's palliative care service and the vital support it gives children with life limiting conditions and their families. I am committed to ensuring sustainable and fairly funded children's palliative care and support in Winchester & Chandler's Ford that are centred on the needs of children and families."
Together for Short Lives has developed the priorities for the next Parliament with direct input from young people who need palliative care, as well as their families and the professionals and services that support them.
