After a successful launch last year, where people and organisations from across the UK got involved, the day will once again highlight the work of small, local charities that are making remarkable differences to their communities.
Backed by celebrities such as Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins, it will also shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes and celebrate the commitment of those amazing volunteers who devote their time to improving the lives of others.
Steve Brine, who is also the Cancer Minister in Government, said: "I'm delighted Local Charities Day is back after a successful roll-out last year, and I remember social media in particular being full of support.
"We have so many wonderful charities here in Winchester & Chandler's Ford, and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank them all on behalf of my constituents. Everyone can follow the conversation online via #LocalCharitiesDay."
