Chief Inspector David Winter briefed Steve on upcoming changes and re-ordering, which begin on 1st April, and spoke to Steve about the work across Chandler's Ford and Hiltingbury carried out by PC Kim Gosden and her PCSO colleagues.
The Chandler's Ford MP also got a briefing on the Muslim community event which took place on Saturday 24th January and the intelligence they had about the demonstration by the EDL, which led to one Farnborough man being arrested.
Steve Brine said: "Chief Inspector Winter is new to the Borough so it was important we met and got to know each other. I wanted a full update on the look and shape of policing across Chandler's Ford as the new force structure takes effect and he was able to give me a superb briefing. It was very useful also to understand how the new-look Response Team will work and also how the Resolution Centre takes the pressure of officers.
"It was handy to be informed also about the Muslim community event which was at the time due to take place, and I was re-assured to know officers are always prepared to ensure peaceful protest is allowed to take place although strictly within the law."
