Steve and his family joined around 1000 people at the Easton fete on Monday 26th August, and the local MP was asked to open the annual village event.

The fete, which has been going for decades, was held at the village cricket ground, and had attractions including stalls, games, ferret racing, a dog show, classic car parade and a vintage helicopter.

Steve's wife Susie ran the kids' toys and books stall, and Steve looked after Shove Ha'Penny with his son William, and young Emily took the reins from Steve in offically opening the fete.

Steve said: "One of the best turnouts in years at Easton for a fete that always delivers, even with the weather. It was classic English fun and long may that continue."

The fete is thought to have raised around £6000, with proceeds shared between the church, the cricket club and the village hall.
