Steve Brine has welcomed news for Chandler's Ford residents that the borough council is supporting mums who want to breastfeed as part of National Breastfeeding Week.
The Chandler's Ford MP spent Sunday with B.A.B.I.E.S., part of the National Childbirth Trust, and one of the bodies providing a free drop-in group on Mondays at Chamberlayne Children's Centre in Eastleigh.
Steve said: "I know that retailers in Eastleigh Town Centre have been asked to join a 'breastfeeding welcome' scheme and display a sticker so that mums know they can breastfeed there. I am sure mums will feel more comfortable in breastfeeding their babies, and am very pleased to hear this news."
