Steve Brine joined MPs from across Hampshire as he welcomed The Watercress Company from Alresford to Parliament on Wednesday 10th July.
The well-known company were part of the “Taste of Hampshire” event, organised by Eastleigh MP Mims Davies, which showcased Hampshire produce to MPs and staff from all over the UK.
Steve said: “I was delighted to welcome The Watercress Company, who I know well, to Parliament for our first showcase of food and drink from across Hampshire. When I was asked to nominate one business from my constituency, it simply had to be watercress and they went down really well. We hope to hold the event again in the future but on a bigger scale as there’s so much to show and tell.”
Tom Amery from TWC added; “The attendance was fantastic, discussions very positive and interest high for watercress. The pesto samples went down a storm.”
