Steve Brine and his family joined thousands of people on Saturday 5th September for a hugely successful Littleton and Harestock Show.

Held once again at the Recreation Ground, there were a range of attractions, including a climbing wall, a sculptor and ferret racing, while musical entertainment was provided by the Barton Stacey Jubilee Brass Band and the Band and Bugles of the Rifles.

Steve, who donated a Tea for Two in the House of Commons prize for the raffle, said: "This is not a show we get to every year but we really enjoy it.

"The flower and produce show is really unique and the band were a huge hit this year with young and old alike.

"Our kids loved the candy floss of course and the remote controlled boats provided by the Eastleigh model club."

A final total raised has not yet been announced, but this year's charities set to benefit include Home-Start and the Kevin Lay Foundation, set up after the local churchwarden died in an aircrash in Kosovo in 1999.
