Steve met with local students to discuss politics as they took a tour of the historic Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 2nd November.

In between a briefing on the Sustainable Livestock Bill and Health Questions in the Chamber, he chatted with University of Winchester students about the palace, his first few months in Parliament and the issues of the day.

He said: “It was a pleasure to chat to such an interesting and clued-up group of young people. We spoke about a range of issues, and I’m sure that should they decide, there would be opportunities for a good number of them to make a difference in the world of politics.

“I’m sure they had a great time taking in the very special atmosphere, and I hope today has helped inspire them as they continue their studies.”
