SB House of Commons

Steve Brine spoke in an urgent question debate in the House of Commons today about visa arrangements for UK musicians working in the EU.

The MP, who is a member of the influential DCMS Select Committee, said that the two countries should pick the deal up off the table and sort out the problems caused by a gap in the UK/EU post-Brexit trade deal agreed last month.

He says; "A number of constituents have contacted me about this issue so I was pleased to be able to raise it directly with the Minister in Parliament.

"The must be something we can work out with our friends in the European Union and the sooner the better because the longer the situation persists, the worse it gets for UK artists and the longer their recovery from a pandemic that has devastated this vibrant creative sector."
