Caterpillar Children's Centre is a phase III children's centre which achieved full designation earlier this year and is based in the library in Chandler's Ford. Full designation means that the centre is delivering the full range of services required of a phase III children's centre.
The centre is delivered by The Children's Society who deliver six children's centres in total across Hampshire and is developing under the leadership of Kirsty Reed.
On the way to his next engagement, Steve said: "Caterpillar Hill is a first rate children's centre by any measure. I left knowing my constituents are extremely well served by the team there.
"It was a real pleasure to meet with staff and parents and it was home from home for me when they asked me to take storytime!"
