Steve Brine met staff and children at Stanmore Primary School on Tuesday 2nd October, taking in a tour of the school and assembly before meeting teachers in the staff room.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP is making good progress in visiting every school across the constituency, and was delighted to be able to take in Stanmore for the first time.
Speaking afterwards, he said: "What a lovely school Stanmore is! The site is huge which gives a real sense of space to the kids and potential for the school to grow.
"It is a really old and traditional looking primary school but I see they are bang up to date when it comes to the modular education philosophy they have. I was especially impressed with the way all children were confident to chat with their local MP, and the innovative way they handle students with issues and special educational needs."
One highlight of the visit was sitting down with a few children in the library and taking a Q&A session. Steve added: "It is not always the case where you meet kids who harbour ambitions to be a Member of Parliament but it was great to meet two today. I know they are really looking forward to organising a trip to the House to see what it is really like."
