Steve Brine hosted children and teachers from Weeke Primary School in Parliament on Wednesday 8th January.

The Winchester MP had arranged for a group from the school's Newspaper club to come up and interview him about his job, as well as taking in a tour of the House of Commons. The visit followed a letter sent to Mr Brine by Jacob Hartley before Christmas.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I really enjoyed having the group here, and what a super bunch of kids. I read the Weeke Whizz Magazine they publish, and it is a wonderful piece of work. I was asked a series of excellent questions, and I know for a fact that one young man is gunning for my job!"

Weeke pupil Charlotte Prince-Rayner said: "Being in the place where our country's decisions are made, watching The House of@Commons in action and meeting our MP was something I'll never forget."

Jacob Hartley added: "The visit further inspired my young ambition to become a politician."
