All winners, commendations and finalists have be in the Children's Library at the Winchester Discovery Centre.

Steve Brine said: "We had a huge amount of entries with over 500 children from across Winchester and Chandler’s Ford taking part. I’m hugely thankful to all their busy teachers for giving the time to allow the children to take part in this year’s competition.

I would also like to thank Marwell Zoo and Theatre Royal Winchester for donating the prizes this year. After a tough 18 months its fantastic the children can enjoy these brilliant organisations again.

“My congratulations go to Franklin, who at only four years old is my youngest ever winner! His brilliant design will be sent to the Queen and the Prime Minister among others. Well done to all the Year Group and Commendation winners as well"

My final column is perhaps more reflective than usual but I hope you will forgive me as I prepare to formally step down as Parliament is formally Dissolved ahead of the General Election on July 4. Fourteen years ago, in May 2010, I was first elected as our MP.
