Local MP, Steve Brine, dropped into the team at Winchester Youth Counselling to see their new premises as the organisation turns 20 this year.
The project opened its doors in 2003 to provide a safe therapeutic space for young people aged 11- 25 who live in the district of Winchester. Young people’s emotional well-being is at the centre of their work.
They aim to help young people tell their story to a trained professional who can help them reflect, recover and learn more about themselves.
Speaking after the visit, Mr Brine said; "I really enjoyed my visit to meet the team at Winchester Youth Counselling where we talked about the difficulties young people and their families face trying to access help, and the support they provide in Winchester.
This followed my CAMHS speech in Parliament as part of children's mental health week."
