Colden Common's annual village fete returned for the first time since 2019 on a sunny Saturday afternoon, with thousands of local residents gathering on the Recreation Ground.

Many local organisations and charities set-up sales and games stalls to help raise money for strong local interests, with attendees having a chance to win prizes.

Local MP, Steve Brine, joined Councillor Sue Cook after her recent re-election to Winchester City Council as the two enjoyed the weather and conversation with familiar and unfamiliar faces.

Steve said; "Loving that the Summer fetes are back! Today at Colden Common as things got underway with the wonderful Councillor Sue Cook who was masterminding the car park with colleagues."

Hampshire Chronicle column - Farewell
