Litter-pickers Winnall

The Winchester litter-pickers were in Winnall this morning for an important sortie and they were joined by MP, Steve Brine.

The group met up in Garbett Road and spent 90-minutes cleaning up part of the estate before stopping for a much-needed coffee at Costa in Winnall Lane.

Steve says; "I try to join the group a couple times each year, often in town but sometimes out elsewhere as this morning. They work so hard week-in, week-out so I think it's important to go along when I can to help out and say thank you.

Hampshire Chronicle column - Farewell

Thursday, 30 May, 2024
My final column is perhaps more reflective than usual but I hope you will forgive me as I prepare to formally step down as Parliament is formally Dissolved ahead of the General Election on July 4. Fourteen years ago, in May 2010, I was first elected as our MP.
