The Winchester and Chandler's Ford MP spent a morning with members of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and Officers from the ATR as he was briefed on ongoing plans to dispose of the site in 2026.

Steve heard from the MoD team about the progress they've made so far in leaving and what the site might look like post-2026 once the Army Training Regiment has parted ways with the much-loved base.

Mr Brine said : "I've never made any secret of the fact that I want Sir John Moore Barracks to stay in Army hands, it’s a great site, but if this is going to happen we have to make it work for Winchester and the surrounding villages."
