Steve Brine has continued his long running involvement in the Winchester Cathedral carol service, this year reading the fourth lesson, taken from Luke chapter 1.

Steve said : "Many years ago, shortly after we first settled in Winchester, Susie and I attended the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Carol Service. The MP at the time was reading the fourth lesson and I said I’d like the opportunity to do that someday. Last night - as I have for the past 13 years - I did just that and it’s one of the greatest privileges of my year. Thank you to Winchester for turning out in such huge numbers for the final Carol service this year and to Dean Catherine for allowing this great honour."

This year's carol services took place on Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st December 2023.
