Setting off from the London Eye just after 8am, the group completed a 5-mile circular tour taking in landmarks such as Blackfriar's Bridge and Trafalgar Square before finishing at the Houses of Parliament.
Speaking after changing out of his shorts and cycling gear, Steve said: "Our group exists to promote the use of bikes, and this is a great way to lead by example.
"I was delighted to meet Chris, and well remember his success in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in particular. I hope that we have managed in our own way to drum up a bit of awareness, and I know we all enjoyed getting out and taking in some fresh air."
Steve is also taking part in the Winchester Cycle Cavalcade on the morning of Saturday 18th June, where there will also be a Dr Bike session for anyone who needs some repairs.
