Steve Brine joined with colleague Paul Uppall MP in the Commons on Wednesday 22nd June for the launch of Sikh Council UK.

The new organisation is an accord of UK-based Gurdwaras, Sikh institutions and organisations. Designed for the 21st century, it holds close a central ethos of accountability, transparency, and professionalism, while seeking to provide a framework allowing Sikhs to work collectively.

Speaking after the event, which was covered by all the major Sikh TV stations, Steve said: "I was delighted Paul asked me along this afternoon, and it was great to meet so many people who are keen to pull together and work in such an honest and decent way.

"I know that locally, many people across both Winchester and Chandler's Ford will be extremely interested, and I do encourage them to take a close look at this exciting new organisation."
