Steve Brine is backing a Ten Minute Rule Bill proposed by Jack Straw MP which seeks to deal with a variety of issues surrounding motor insurance.

The Bill, will seek to reform the regulation and operation of the market in motor insurance and specifically, to ban the payment of referral fees.

It will also look to establish new standards relating to the evidence required and damages payable for whiplash, to reform the regulation of the Ministry of Justice's RTA portal and to set requirement in respect of risk pricing for personal injury claims and related purposes.

Steve said: "To my mind this Bill seems very sensible. I know a lot of work has gone into it and having looked carefully at the evidence I am therefore more than happy to give it my support."
