Park Homes Justice Campaign

Park home owners from across the country went to Parliament on Wednesday 2nd July as they lobbied government on sale commission for their homes.

As things stand, owners wishing to sell their property are legally required to pay a 10% commission to the owner of the park site, and home-owners met with MPs in the House to put their case.

Steve Brine has a number of Park Home sites across Winchester, and is Vice Chairman of the All Party Park Homes Group.

He said: "We had some great news last year with new legislation, specifically the Mobile Homes Act 2013, coming in to address many previous injustices.

"Clearly there is strong feeling from the Park Homes Justice Campaign, and many residents as we heard, in favour of the abolition of this commission. As a group, we feel there is strong justification to look again at this but the Government must do so in the context of a proper review looking at the consequences (on pitch fees for-instance) of any change in the law in this respect."
