Steve Brine hosted a special guest in London on Monday 6th July, as Mackenzie Evison took a tour of Parliament and had a cup of tea with his MP.

The Year 6 South Wonston pupil won a mock Prime Ministerial election at the school earlier this year, as Year 5 and Year 6 learnt about parliament and democracy, a project that Steve helped with as he visited the school to tell them about his work as their MP.

Steve said: "I said at the time that if I was re-elected I would be pleased to host the winner in Parliament, and it was great to meet Mackenzie up here with his dad. I know it was a busy day with the tour as well as our chat, and there is so much history and atmosphere to take in.

"It was great to be able to honour my promise to host the winner, and especially to be able to do this just weeks before he is due to start at Henry Beaufort."
