Steve Brine joined up once again with Open Doors as they launched a new report on Christian persecution in the Commons on Wednesday 13th January.

The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP, a long-standing supporter of the organisation, heard a range of stories about the persecution of thousands of Christians around the world in 2015, including abductions and executions of Yazidis in Iraq and Syria.

The "Freedom of Religion and the Persecution of Christians: The Open Doors Report 2016", provides in-depth research and analysis into the trends and dynamics of religious persecution in 50 countries, and the launch event was hosted by Steve's colleague Theresa Villiers.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "As ever, I received huge interest in this from my constituents, and I was proud to be able to represent them in Parliament. The situation is unspeakably tragic, and the fact remains that many Christians still remain captive."
