The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP, who is also the Cancer Minister, also took part in a local event run by Action Hampshire earlier this month, and the focus of this event was the issues people in remission face following their treatment.
The morning heard from people living with cancer on what life is like after treatment, and MPs had the chance to chat with Macmillan professionals over coffee and cake to learn about their experiences of cancer care in the NHS, and discuss the support Macmillan can offer.
Steve Brine said: "I was thrilled to be able to join the brilliant Macmillan are in the House this morning for their famous coffee morning, showing and discussing stories of life after cancer. I don't know about anyone else but their new TV adverts are taking me down – they are so hard hitting but spot on as always."
