Business excellence celebrated in city

Winchester's business community came together at the Guildhall on Friday 5th June as the city celebrated the 13th Winchester Business Excellence Awards.

 

Winchester MP Steve Brine was among a host of local dignitaries handing out the awards, on an evening where local power plant consultants RJM International won the Denplan Business of the Year award, as well as the 1-1 Recruitment's Large Business of the Year award.

Winchester BID's Commitment to the City went to Winchester Film & Art CIC while the University of Winchester's Entrepreneur of the Year award went to Paul Bowler, who founded Winchester Distillery.

The Service Excellence Award, sponsored by The Breeze, went to Bluebird Care, and the WCC Carbon Smart Business of the Year went to Two Hoots Campsite, based on the outskirts of Alresford.

Pass the CASC won Rooster Creative Marketing's Excellence Online award, and Adrienne Marsden's The Business Collective sponsored the Responsible Business Award with Osborne Property Services, which was won by Integr8 Dance.

The Wilkins Kennedy Excellence in Innovation Award went to Farley Nursery School, and the Millennium Egg was handed out to David Webb, owner of DNJ Solutions, for dedication and contribution to the city.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "This is a permanent and very welcome fixture on my calendar now, and once again, a real pleasure to see so many smart, forward thinking and responsible businesses celebrated this evening.

"It was great to be able to take part once again, and a huge well done to all who won and were nominated."
