RHCH trolley round

Yes it is! Steve joins up with the ladies of the Red Cross for the RHCH Trolley Round.

The man aiming to replace Mark Oaten as Winchester's MP saw life inside the Royal Hampshire County Hospital first hand this week.

Conservative Parliamentary Candidate Steve Brine joined up with the Winchester Red Cross to help with their Trolley Round.  The service offers patients a range of goods from sweets to drinks and tubes of toothpaste.

Steve joined with organiser Jean Lee and her colleague Shirley Howell to lend a hand on Monday afternoon (as pictured).

Steve says; "We are so lucky to have volunteers such as Jean and Shirley who give up their time to provide patients with this invaluable service.

"Every time someone asked me if it was on the trolley I couldn't help feel like a modern day Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques but I guess that goes with the territory!

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time talking with the patients and their families as we went on our rounds and I will not forget the price of a bag of murray mints for as long as I live!"
