Steve Brine, the prospective Conservative MP for Winchester has launched a brand new online TV channel via You Tube.
stevebrine.tv, which is billed as a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the candidate’s work, begins with four films including several made during David Cameron’s recent visit to Winchester. It shows Mr Cameron backstage immediately before the event and chatting with Steve Brine afterwards. It also features a special film made during a recent visit by Mr Brine to Naomi House near Winchester. Steve has campaigned locally to assist the charity with the recovery of £5.7m which it has frozen as a result of the Icelandic banking crisis and recently led a petition to the Prime Minister which was signed by almost 11,000 people.
Steve says; “Politics is changing fast in this country and it’s important to realise people are using the internet in a different way to how they did even a year ago. They want content easily accessible and that means video. Barack Obama and his team in the United States have really raised the bar for those of us on this side of the Atlantic and we’re up for the challenge!
"Online TV is the perfect way for me to communicate with the people I seek to represent after the next election. I too juggle a young family with a busy career and I want as many people as possible to see the work I am doing locally in the way that is easiest for them. I hope people will enjoy the films and will make suggestions as to what they would like to see us report on next."
