Hosted by the Winchester Conservatives and Cadogans of Winchester, the event featured more than 17 models covering a wide range of themes ranging from weekends to weddings. All those taking part had their hair styled by Winchester’s Guy Kremer.
Prospective Conservative MP for Winchester, Steve Brine, attended the event and presented the charity with a cheque at the end of the show. He commented; “Help for Heroes has raised more than £1m a-month since their formation which reminds us what a remarkable chord they have struck with the British people. We have a proud military and service tradition in Winchester so it was entirely fitting for this joint fundraiser to benefit the charity. The work they are doing for returning injured service personnel is truly humbling and I plan to visit Headley Court shortly. I thoroughly enjoyed the fashion show and can safely say it will be one of the things that will stay firmly in my mind for some time!”
Help for Heroes was formed in October 2007 by Hampshire husband and wife team, Bryn and Emma Parry. It has raised more than £30m to-date.
