The Prospective MP for Winchester was joined by Wonston & Micheldever (which includes Sutton Scotney) councillor, Stephen Godfrey, for the open exhibition of outline plans held at Victoria Hall in the village on Thursday 25 March 2010.
Steve says; “This site is obviously in need of development of some kind, it has sat derelict in the heart of this lovely village for too long, but it’s got to be right for the area and in tune with local residents’ wishes. I think it was right to throw out the previous plan for the site and am hopeful these new plans have taken a lot of that criticism on-board. It was really useful to see how the outline plans look and chat with the architects, the parish councillor’s present and local residents.”
The plans will now be drawn up, taking account of resident feedback from this open session, and a formal planning application will be made to Winchester City Council. We will post the plans for download (as a PDF file) on this page shortly.
Further plans for the larger part of the site, sitting behind Taylors Yard itself, have already been presented to residents and a formal application is pending.
