Steve Brine gives you the link to opt-out of receiving any of the free phone directories.

Like me you probably have the BT phone book, Yellow Pages and Thompson directory delivered every year. But how often do you use them?

It is possible to opt-out of receiving any or all of these phone books. Something that not many people knew was possible and there is now a campaign to change the system to be opt-in so only those that want a book will get one.

If the campaign works and everyone only requested the phone books they wanted it would save paper, energy, water and money both in production and in recycling.

To opt-out, details can be found hidden in each of the directories, but if you are interested these are the numbers to call.

BT Phone Book - 0800 833 400

Yellow Pages - 0800 671 444

Thompson Local - 01252 55 55 55
