The St Cross Rd club is finally closing its doors after 27 years, to the disappointment of members and casual players from around the district.
Steve said: “I did meet with the club recently to see if there was anything we could do to keep it open but they've just reached the end of the road for many reasons and I can see that.
“I think it is really sad for Winchester to lose another community facility but want to pay a massive tribute to Owen and Yvonne for the fun they've given so many people over the past 27 years, often at great cost from their own pocket. I wish them both every success for the future.”
