Steve and Susie attended the Southgate Street toy shop on Saturday June 12 to look at the creative talent of local young artists.

Children were invited to submit their entries, judged in three age categories, over the previous two weeks to get the chance to walk away with a selection of HABA toys. Winchester Tourist Office was asked to judge the work, and Steve was delighted to be asked to present the prizes.

He said: “Susie and I attended the opening of Childhood’s Dream just before Christmas in 2008 and I have stayed very much in touch with Susan and Tony Whyman.  They are running a really nice shop and are totally focused on making a success of the business.  When they asked me to come and hand out the prizes for the competition, it was not something I had to think about too hard.  The colourings were great and I think the winners should be really proud given the strength of competition they faced.”
