Steve Brine is to join a crowd of thousands in Winchester on Wednesday as 11 Light Brigade parade through Winchester. The homecoming march will begin in St Cross around midday as the 650-strong brigade makes their way into the city centre before attending a private service of thanksgiving in the Cathedral. 11 Light Brigade is made up of regiments based across the UK and Germany, and will disband following the parade, which will be addressed on the Broadway by the Duchess of Cornwall. While there will be some disruption to traffic the skies will remain clear while four Tornadoes conduct a flypast. As well as pedestrians and city centre workers, the event will be watched by hundreds of schoolchildren from across the District, who will line St Cross Rd and Southgate Street.
