New MP for Winchester & Chandler's Ford Steve Brine has donated some essential supplies for the next Hope and Aid Direct mission to Kosovo.
He met up with John Desty in Chandler’s Ford (after his surgery on Friday 2 July 2010) to hand over a selection of toothbrushes, toilet roll and toothpaste. The supplies will go with the mission to some of the poorest people in Europe.
Steve said; “Of course we have many things to worry about here in Hampshire but I have seen pictures of the communities this mission exists to help and they are living in appalling poverty so this is the least I can do to help. Hope and Aid Direct have been running these mercy trips for over ten years and I know thousands of people rely on their aid. If any local people can help their work I would urge them to contact the team.”
