The Bangkok Brasserie has won a place in the regional final after being chosen to represent Winchester by local MP Steve Brine in a prestigious contest.

The national competition is held each year to find the best South Asian restaurant in the country.

This year 73 restaurants were nominated. Bangkok Brasserie, having won a place in the regional final will battle with other restaurants from across the South East to become one of the national finalists.

Within the next few weeks a mystery diner will visit the restaurant and judge whether the restaurant deserves to represent the region.

Steve Brine said; “I am delighted that my nomination for Bangkok Brasserie has been accepted and have everything crossed one of our own will now go forward to the grand final.  We are very well served in the Winchester area when it comes to South Asian food but I felt the mix of excellent food and unique service provided by Miff and his team make Bangkok Brasserie well worth their place on the list.  I am sure everyone in Winchester will be supporting them as the competition enters its final phase.”

Keith Vaz MP, Chair of the Tiffin Club said; “We are delighted with Steve’s nomination for Bangkok Brasserie.  It will even further put Winchester on the culinary map for this type of food.”
