Steve is delighted at news that £11m funding for Bikeability cycle training has been announced, following a statement from the Transport Minister on Tuesday 19th January.

The Winchester & Chandler’s Ford MP, himself a keen cyclist, was in the Commons on Tuesday for a statement on the publication of the new white paper Creating Growth, Cutting Carbon; Making sustainable local transport happen.

Steve said: “I am delighted that  there will be £11m funding for Bikeability cycle training next year, to allow 275,000 ten to eleven-year-olds to benefit from ‘on-road’ cycle training.

“There is also a commitment to support Bikeability for the duration of this Parliament, which will allow as many children as possible to undertake high quality cycle training.”
