Steve Brine popped into the final event of this year's two week of Fairtrade activity in Winchester.
Accompanied by his wife Susie, three year-old daughter Emily and four-month old son William, Steve joined Fairtrade stall holders at the Guildhall in Winchester on Sunday 13 March 2011.
Traders from across the local area were on-hand selling a wide range of Fairtrade goods and products and there were kids activities to entertain the youngsters.
Students from the University of Winchester held two fashion shows during the day, showcasing Fairtrade outfits and closed the 2011 Fairtrade Fortnight in style.
Steve Brine said; “2011 has been a vintage year for Fairtrade Winchester and huge credit must goto John Beveridge and Rosemary & David Dunhill who have worked tirelessly to make it a success. I think Winchester has proven once again this year why we thoroughly deserve the title Fairtrade City and Fairtrade University. The closing exhibition was really nicely done and the Fairtrade chocolate we bought didn’t last long when we got home and put the kettle on.”
All eyes now turn to Fairtrade Fortnight 2012 which will have a heavy Olympics focus!
