As well as trying his hand, Steve chatted to members of the Garbett Road club, including Caroline Brownlie, who represented Scotland in last year's Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The Home Office approved club, formed in 1971, offers a wide range of targets at a number of different Hampshire locations, including the Tunnel Range in Winnall.
Steve said: "The IV shooting club is one of the best kept secrets in Winchester it is so tucked away but it's a hidden gem. I really enjoyed my visit and especially the chance to meet Caroline and to hear of her passion for the sport. As the picture shows, I wasn't too bad a shot either!"
