A new shop opening in Winchester this September will give customers a warm and 'Fuzzi' feeling.

Fuzzi will be one of very few high street shops to sell purely ethical products and also give something back to the local community.

Opening in Parchment Street on September 10th, Fuzzi will stock local, organic and fair trade food, clothes and crafts.

Created by Hampshire husband and wife team Andy and Hannah Mintram, this Social Enterprise will make buying 'green' fun and easy whilst supporting local projects and organisations.

Andy said: "We're really excited about bringing Fuzzi to Winchester. The internet is saturated with 'green' shops but there are too few real shops for people wanting to try 'green' products, but don't know what's available to them. Fuzzi aims to put that right by bringing a unique range of products and information to the High Street."

Hannah added: "Being a Social Enterprise is a key part of our business. We will donate money to local projects that increase
sustainability, and local organisations that help raise awareness of sustainability. We will support the local community who will support us."

Local MP Steve Brine said: "I am delighted to see to see such a fantastic project hit the city. I am sure Fuzzi will make a huge impact locally and I wish Andy and Hannah all the very best in this exciting venture."

All Fuzzi products will either support local producers, have a reduced impact upon the planet and its resources, or promote fair trade, and they will consist of a mixture of tastes, colours and designs that make the products desirable in their own right.
